Package Number 2 Arrived in Afghanistan Without Explosions (so far)
Remember the other day when we told you that the shirt with our logo on it got blown up by an IED in Afghanistan?
Did I mention that Russ is an anal-retentive control freak?
Well, he’s also smart from time to time.
See, Russ divided up the stuff that was gathered at the December event into multiple boxes for shipping to different people at different locations, which means that our t-shirts went to different locations…
Okay Taliban…Now It’s Personal (More Updates From December’s Event)
So we gave you the quick update from Mike over in Afghanistan last week that everything from the December event had arrived.
Well one of the things that was in there was a detroitnet.org t-shirt since we had a batch specifically made up to include in the packages being sent. Why? Because we thought it would be really damned cool to have pictures of guys over there in a t-shirt with our logo on them, that’s why.
Seems like the Taliban doesn’t want us to get our propaganda photo op, though. They blew the damned thing up…
Update From Our December Support The Troops Networking Event
It seems like forever and a day ago since we did our December event at Dragonmead in Warren, and everyone was so supportive of our efforts to do something cool and a little different for the troops overseas.
Well, we just got an update in from Mike (he graciously took a break from dodging sandstorms, bullets, and explosives to let us know everything arrived), and if nothing else, I’m pretty sure I won’t be complaining about the meetings that I’m trapped in for a while.
Perspective is fun, but not as much fun as Mike’s having. Depending on your definition of the word “fun”, of course…
